Udaipur, your sky has become bright and radiant,
Udaipur, your earth has turned luxuriant,
Udaipur, your air is fragrant and buoyant,
Udaipur, Imami splendor has turned you into Jannat.
Udaipur, your natives are glowing with emotion,
Deedar of Maula have filled hearts with passion,
"Our Maula is amidst us," they cry with devotion,
"Ghani Khamma, Ghani Khamma" they chant in unison.
Over a quarter century, you were laden with sins,
Over a quarter century, you were deprived peace,
Over a quarter century, you were led astray,
Over a quarter century, you lived in dismay.
Insurgent incited you because you were game,
You rebelled against Dawat and lost your fame,
You succumbed to miscreants and blemished your name,
We, who belong to you, had to bow in shame.
At last the moment of truth has dawned,
Chants of Triumph echo all around,
The veil of deceit has now been exposed,
The faithful are victorious, the faithless deposed.
Fateh mubin of this century has occurred on you,
Jihad of this period has been won on you,
The glory you had lost has returned to you,
Syedi Khanji and Lookmanji are happy with you.
Udaipur, to Taha Bhaisaheb, you are indebted,
He was the harbinger you long awaited,
With Aqa Moula’s blessings on you he landed,
With vasila of Imam Hussein your wish has been granted.
Despite your misdeeds Maula has honored you,
To forgive your sins, Maula has graced you,
To revive your Iman, Maula has blessed you,
With heavenly bounties Maula has showered you.
Let no stone unturned in performing Maula’s khidmat,
Sacrifice your all to earn Moula’s nazaraat,
Beg for forgiveness, Moula’s zaat mubarak is rehmat,
And vow to live forever in Moulana’s ta-at.
Uproot the thorns and sow seed of sa-adat,
Engrave deep within you Maulana’s shafa-at,
With gratitude and devotion arz in shukur sajadaat,
Maulana has freed you and blessed with you barakaat.
