His Holiness Syedna Doctor Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS), 52nd Fatemi Dai-ul-Mutlaq is invested with full and absolute power to be the sole deputy and vice-regent of Imam on earth in seclusion is also the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra Community.
Today we feel honored and privileged to submit to you, a shining light in the firmament of Islam. We will benefit through your experience, wise guidance, deep erudition and purposeful directions in temporal and spiritual affairs and matters.
Today we bow to you remembering your saintly qualities. You are an accomplished leader who has the grace of eight hundred seventy-five years. You are the beloved son and chosen successor of late His Holiness Syedna Taher Seifuddin Saheb (RA).
You are a zealous devotee of Islam who has constantly and unshakably practiced the precepts of the faith and dedicated a lifetime to the study of Islam, Arabic literature, language, philosophy and humanities.
In you we behold an elderly venerated being, charming personality and angelic appearance. We feel inspired and reassured of Islam and the Islamic way of life. We find the embodiment of one who lives a full life rooted in the spiritual, cultural, and religious tradition that Islam provides. In you Muslims find an anchor, a shining light towards which we receive the sustenance of life, the comfort and true happiness.
Today you are the anchor of our hope. You are our inspiration. You preside over our destiny. You perceive the present. You reckon with the needs and stresses of the times. You combine the past and the present and guide us towards the hereafter. You evolve a way of life for the future, which we accept and follow. We are certain that it will lead we with reward to all that are best in this life and hereafter.
The Irshadaat you give to the followers will become for us a beacon light, so that with the loyalty to the land of our adoption we can live in peace and harmony with the nationals of our motherland irrespective of differences of races, creed, color or tribe.
You are enshrined in Fatemi History and in the hearts of Momineen. You lit a light that burns inside every Momineen.
You have established many organizations, trusts and institutions for the benefit of all. You have built a magnificent Rosa-tut-tahera. Your father the late Syedna Taher Seifuddin Saheb (RA) have contributed substantially to the renovation of the historic and sacred Masjide Aqsa, and have erected Zarihs in revered tombs of Hazrat Ally (SA) and the great martyrdom of Imam Husein (SA) and also have donated curtain to the Kaaba the holy of the holiest to the Muslims. The late Syedna Taher Seifuddin (AQ) who was a distinguished Chancellor of Aligarh University has made a significant contribution to the cause of education.
You are an example to the Islamic world. You have rendered inestimable services towards education of Muslims of India and have earned their deep gratitude. You lead people on the right path of Islam, the path shown by the Holy prophet and his followers.
As a citizen of India you are held in high esteem for your leadership of industrious and prosperous community. As a distinguished service to humanity you hold an eminent position not only amongst the people of India but also amongst the people of other countries.
Your visit to London and Western countries brought a good link and true happiness towards the Momineen of the London Jamaat. Your visit to the Arab countries established better link and relations between India and the Arab world. In spite of your multifarious duties as a Spiritual head of the Dawoodi Bohra Community you have found time to visit your followers scattered through out the world.
We follow you and love you and venerate you with unquestioning devotion. Our heart is full with your personality and spiritual inner qualities. You have set fine examples of dedicated wise and good leadership for all your countless followers across the continents.
We sincerely pray on this day of 86th Milad, that Allah grants you, our Dai-ul-mutlaq who is to us, not only a personality, but a phenomenon of all that is good and noble, in the past and present continued good health and strength to preside over our destiny until the Judgment day. AMEEN.
